Their approval process for driving is wrought with errors and technical difficulties etc. It would be one thing if the info was from ask Jeeves or some shit but all this info comes directly from Uber. After I had already wasted 50 dollars getting the thing done to try and be proactive and make things go quicker.ĭon’t understand how such a big company could have so many pieces of information that they provide themselves that are complete bullshit. When I called them they told me that this is untrue and it is not needed. On the Uber webpage for my city it says very clearly I need a criminal record check with VS from my local police department IN ADDITION to Uber’s online background check in order to drive. You get multiple official Uber sources giving different hours of operation for their phone number (none of which are true). They say there is a button to call support when you go into the help section on the app which just doesn’t exist. They have a bunch of stuff on their website that is just blatantly untrue.
But then when you actually call the number they provide online and through email, the robot on the other end tells you it’s a Monday-Friday service from 10am-8pm.īeen trying to sign up to drive for Uber and am realizing how horrible the company is set up. They claim online that it is a 24/7 Monday-Sunday service, then I got an email from a representative saying the above mentioned 1800 number is not 24/7 but is actually Monday-Sunday 10am-10pm.
Online I seem to be able to find support numbers for the UK and Australia but the 1800 number for Canada and the US is junk. I had someone answering questions on the app and eventually they just stopped replying when the issue wasn’t resolved (trying to sort out a background check). Uber support seems to be non existent in NA.
